The 4 Seasons of Israel

If you’re looking for some winter sun, the months of December – February offer mild temperatures around the center of the country, while the temperatures in the Dead Sea, the lowest point of earth and Eilat, the southernmost city in the country can reach the mid 70’s. In the north of the country, the Golan Heights offer snowcapped peaks and a ski resort rivalling many in Europe. October, November and March through June are usually perfect spring months, with the occasional rainfall, when wildflowers can be found all over the country. This is the perfect time for hiking in Israel’s miles and miles of beautiful nature. High season for tourists is most definitely July and August when temperatures hit boiling point and the plethora of beaches dotted around the country, which offer something for every kind of sand lover, fill up. Or for a more relaxed bathing experience outdoor pools are always a welcome treat. ​
However, do remember that despite the laid-back dress code in most places in the country, you should always carry a scarf to cover up legs and shoulders in case you inadvertently find yourself at a sacred site.
